Enerflex’s service businesses are part of the Company’s overall improvement in safety performance. The comprehensive programs flow from the internal commitment of having “Everyone home. Every night.” and continue to deliver success.
One program within the Company is a High Risk Task Profile campaign that flowed from having identified a lack of knowledge of present hazards as a leading indirect cause of recordable incidents. The program includes ranking risks and offering suggested ways to avoid or correct them. This is then communicated during new employee orientations, scheduled training and bulletins. From this initiative, incidents caused by a lack of knowledge plummeted by 98.5 percent last year.
With hundreds of service vehicles in operation, the Company places great emphasis on preventing motor vehicle incidents. Enerflex's service personnel log tens of millions of miles of motor vehicle travel every year, often in remote areas and inclement weather. The motor vehicle safety program began in 2013, which included wildlife collision prevention training and progressive discipline of high-risk drivers. All vehicles are monitored for safe practice and security through the Enerflex IVMS system. This cut overall motor vehicle incidents almost in half.
