Enerflex is proud to support the Alberta Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP). The RAP Program is a one of a kind Alberta initiative that allows registered high school students to become apprentices and earn credits towards both their apprenticeship programs and their high school diploma.
Apprentices are generally students registered in a post-secondary institution, but the RAP Program is designed to allow high school students, as early as grade 10, to start learning their trade. Students enrolled in the RAP Program become regular employees, earn a wage, develop skills and gain real work experience.
Enerflex accepts RAP students for a variety of positions, including:
Electrician
Instrumentation Technician
Heavy Equipment Technician
Machinist
Millwright
Welder
We depend on our skilled trades people and are always looking for eager new talent. If you are interested in learning more about the RAP Program, visit www.tradesecrets.org or talk to your school counselor.
Careers: The Next Generation
Careers: The Next Generation is an organization that in partnership with the Alberta Government and communities, links workplace learning opportunities with classroom learning. The RAP program is one of the initiatives offered by Careers: The Next Generation. For many students, the traditional education system does not provide all of the tools they need or want, and entering the RAP program allows students to gain relative knowledge and skills while they work towards their diploma.
