Job Purpose: Support drafting team with designs and projects. 

Role and Responsibility

• Create 3D piping models using AutoCAD and AutoPLANT piping software
• Produce General Arrangements, Sections, Isometrics and Pipe Spool drawings from the above models
• Duties may include modeling of structural steel, drafting of P&IDs, pressure vessels and other non-pressure equipment.
• Provide support and guidance to the drafting personnel, designers and project managers.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of junior drafting staff.
• Supervisory or team leader skills would be an asset.

Candidate Profile

• Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology from NAIT or SAIT or equivalent.
• 5 - 10 years piping experience
• Experience with AutoCAD and AutoPLANT 3D Plant applications.
• Experience in fabrication of oilfield production equipment and piping would be an asset.
• ProSteel 3D structural software experience would be an asset.
• Strong attention to detail, good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
