Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose: Support drafting team with designs and projects. Duties must be performed consistent with company mission and values and adherence to company policies and procedures.

• Assist the Drafting Supervisor with overseeing and leading the Equipment/Structural Team
• Create and back draft pressure vessels, non-pressure equipment and structural steel drawings
• Create and back draft P&ID’s using AutoCAD
• Checking and signing of the above mentioned drawings
• Management of team work load
• Interaction with the fabrication shop to attain quick and viable solutions to problems
• Review of Equipment/Structural Team time sheets
• Input on employee performance evaluations
• Provide support and guidance to the drafting personnel, designers and project managers.
• Provide training and mentoring to the junior drafting staff.

Candidate Profile

• Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology from NAIT or SAIT or equivalent
• 5 - 10 years drafting experience
• Team lead or supervisory experience
• Strong AutoCAD skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Experience in fabrication of oilfield production equipment and piping would be an asset.
• ProSteel 3D structural software experience would be an asset.
