Roles & Responsibilities
Job Purpose: This position is for dayshift. The candidate will report directly to the Test Run /Calibration Zone Leader. Duties include monitoring and following the test run procedures that are in place at EFX Compression and the enforcement of the EFX Health & Safety Policies. Also to provide a safe and successful test run and to ensure all packages are assembled and tested to EFX Standards.
Duties must be performed consistent with company mission and values and adherence to company policies and procedures. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
• Provide support through out all zones pertaining to Electrical, Instrumentation and Test Runs.
• Provide support throughout all zones and expectations from each Production group.
• Completely accountable for all aspects of the Test Run on packages from start to finish.
• Complete final inspections on all finished units in the zone to ensure quality of workmanship is to company standards/Audit the GPS binders.
• Follow permit system put in place for test runs throughout all zones.
• Monitor job progress to meet scheduled completion dates.
• Ensure company OH&S guidelines are being followed and up to date.
• Report any incidents or accidents and complete necessary paperwork.
• Communicate information (priorities, scheduling, problems) to Test Run Crew Leader.
• Complete any/all reports related to Calibrations and Test Runs.
Candidate Profile
• Electrical/Instrumentation Journeymen with mechanical background preferred.
• Able to work independently as a Test Run Technician.
• Able to work flexible hours.
• Field start up experience is a must.
• Hold and lead Tool Box meetings before starting a package.
• Good technical skill to ensure the appropriate information is being relayed to the customers during test runs.
• Provide technical mentorship to fellow employees.
• Existing and enhance expertise in control philosophies.
• Able to test and calibrate end devices.
• Good trouble shooting skills.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Able to read and interpret P&ID’s as well as Panel Drawings.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment medical is required for this job position. At minimum, bona fide occupational requirements for the job position must be met.
