Roles & Responsibilities
Job Purpose: Reporting to the Template Team Leader, this person will be responsible for the development, maintenance, monitoring and measuring of the ERP Parts Database. (Visual Manufacturing).
Located in Calgary, this position will be primarily responsible for the Parts Master but is not limited to the following:
• Create new and revise part numbers within Visual Manufacturing for all Enerflex Compression & Power departments.
• Maintain and manage the integrity of the Visual Parts Database.
• Primary Liaison between Engineering, Shop, Systems Engineering, Warehouse, Applications, Vendors and Buyers as it relates to Parts Management.
• Responsible for accuracy of parts information in Parts Master.
• Responsible to identify areas for improvement in the Parts Information process.
• Development of comprehensive parts information rules and policies in conjunction with the Procurement Manager.
• Provide measurement to management on the effectiveness of the part information process.
• Support, instruct and train applicable personnel in the addition, revision and obsoletion of parts.
• Instrumental in the feasibility review of parts changes.
Candidate Profile
• Familiarity with MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel.
• With strong organizational skills, the person should be methodical and process oriented.
• Confident and able to communicate to internal and external personnel at various levels of authority and experience.
• Experience in database management.
• Good problem solving skills and the ability to assess work load and prioritize accordingly.
• Ability to read manufacturing drawings.
• Understanding of Bill of Material structure and the impact on parts information.
• Understanding of Parts including what they are and where they are used.
• Understanding of part and drawing revision controls.
