Roles and Responsibilities
The Project Designer is responsible for developing detailed engineering drawings for modular natural gas compressor packages. As a member of a Custom Project Team in a fast paced, time sensitive manufacturing environment, the ideal candidate will work in a support role with a Lead Project Designer learning all aspects of designing compressor packages.
The candidate will report directly to the Zone leaders. Duties include monitoring job progress within work area as well as ensuring packages are assembled to Enerflex standards. This position is for night shift. Duties must be performed consistent with company mission and values and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Hold weekly safety meetings and issue reports to day shift Zoneleader.
• Ensure all employees are working safely and producing quality product.
• Ensure health and safety guidelines being met and up to date.
• Report incidents/accidents with complete paperwork.
• Ensure employees are informed of all meetings and attend accordingly.
• Report any problems regarding workload/manpower to your zone leaders.
• Report missing, late, sick or injured employees to your zone leader.
• Inform your zone leader when disciplinary action is required (i.e: verbal & written warnings).
• Provide direction to different trade disciplines.
• Communicate with fellow crew leaders and crews within your zone and other zones.
• Work within a tight schedule to allow for minimal overtime and meet shipping deadlines.
• Responsible for all jobs in designated bays within a zone.
• Perform ongoing inspection of all finished units to ensure quality is to Enerflex standards.
• Continuous monitoring of job progress to meet scheduled completion dates.
• Develop new ways and methods to aid in the manufacturing process.
Candidate Profile
• Journeymen ticket preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in the manufacturing of gas compressors.
• Good trouble shooting skills.
• Good organization and communication skills.
