Roles & Responsibilities
Job Purpose: Duties must be performed consistent with company mission and values and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Responsible to provide technical support and diagnostic assistance in general service and unit commissioning situations within the oil and gas industry.
• Provide On-Job Training of junior and incoming mechanical staff in all tasks specific to Gas Compression and Power Generation Service industry, including paper work submission and practical safety
• Present theory and practical based training to internal and external personnel as required
• Provide timely on-site Failure Analysis representation for potential warranty claims
• Maintain and develop positive professional relationships with existing and potential customers
• Provide as required on-site start-up assistance
• Technical support provided in field and office locations
• Reports to Technical Services Manager
Candidate Profile
• Must have a valid Journeyman Mechanic or Millwright certificate
• Proven ability to lead, direct, motivate and supervise team members
• Minimum 5 years field experience in Natural Gas Service Industry
• Knowledge in Waukesha AT and Caterpillar Engine Models
• Comprehension in all reciprocating compressors models
• Advanced, proven technical knowledge and skills, including engine electronics and compressor controls
• Highly motivated and well organized in the areas of time management and report writing
• Ability to respond technical questions from external and internal customers
• Stay current on product developments, bulletins, and factory information
• Superior written and verbal communications skills
