Roles and Responsibilities

Job Purpose:  The Product Line Designer is a crucial role within Enerflex Compression’s Standards Group.  Reponsible for creating 3D models of existing BTB “B” Series packages; making it effortless for Enerflex Projects Team to issue all the relevant fabrication and assembly drawings in building a standard product.  The intent of this role is to transition to a Product Line Engineer after completion of a number of “B” Series models. 
• Responsible for creating, updating and maintaining all standard drawings related to the manufacture of the existing “B” Series compressor packages.
• Develop new standard BTB Model drawings (creating 3D model of package, assembly drawings, fabricated part drawings, 2-D process & service flow drawings with intelligent option layering.
• Completion of Engineering Change Requests (updating existing model drawings and designs with equipment changes, technology advancements, design improvements, etc.).
• Working with R&D team members to research and develop new packages, new design concepts, assemblies and parts.

Candidate Profile

• Graduate of recognized Post-Secondary Design/Drafting Program or relevant program and experience.
• Five (5) years design experience in the Oil and Gas industry.  Gas Compression experience would be an asset.  Relevant experience will also be considered.
• Proficiency with design software AutoCAD 2008 for creating 3D models, Assembly Drawings, P&ID, Service Flows, Fabrication and Vendor Drawings using X-REF’s, viewports, layers, picture importing, and use of proper dimensioning.  Related experience with other 3D CAD software will be considered.
• Proficiency with design software CAD Works Plant for creating 3D spool drawings.  Related experience with ISOGen will be considered.

• Developed leadership, analytical and problem solving skills
