Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose:  The Structural Checker carries out a thorough check of all fabrication drawings produced by the project design group to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with industry and Enerflex drafting standards and practices.  Duties must be performed consistent with company mission and values and adherence to company policies and procedures. 

• Using prescribed checking procedures, assure dimensional accuracy of drawings released by design group.
• Provide mentoring and support to less experienced designers in areas of welding symbology, structural design and steel detailing
• Ensure fabrication drawing compliance with recognized industry standards and CWB requirements
• Assist in development of Work Instructions, Standard drawings & templates as needed.

Canadidate Profile

• Five (5) years’ experience in the steel detailing/fabrication industry
• Familiarity with structural welding procedures as outlined by CWB
• Strong drafting background including mentoring, drawing checking and standards development.
• Experience with Autocad Release 2006 or higher
• Experience with 3D design software (CADWorx, SolidEdge, Solidworks, etc)
