Roles & Responsibilities
Job Purpose: This position is for dayshift and reports directly to the Assembly Supervisor. Primary responsibilities include monitoring job progress within work area as well as ensuring packages are assembled to Enerflex standards and ensure adherence to all EFX Health and Safety policies.
Duties must be performed consistent with company mission and values and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to all EFX policies and OH&S guidelines
• Maintain and manage production schedules and hour forecasts
• Manage and approve all timecards and OT
• Arrange major equipment requests with procurement
• Drive and support the 6S program in the Production area
• Generate NCR’s and ECR’s
• Attend production kick off and zone meetings
• Conduct employee orientation and tool box meetings
• Ensure appropriate stock levels of Production consumables (i.e. gloves)
• Conduct fit and finish inspections with Project Managers
• Update and maintain GPS binders
• Ensure proper documentation is completed for maintenance procedures and requests
• Report all accidents and incidents, ensuring all documentation and reporting is completed
• Communicate shift information (i.e. priorities, scheduling, and issues) to night shift lead hand
Candidate Profile
• Journeyman
• Minimum 5 years experience in the manufacturing of gas compressors
• Able to work independently as a zone leader
• Possess sound planning and organization skills
• Good communication, interpersonal, and proven leadership qualities
• Basic computer knowledge (i.e. MS Word, Lotus Notes, Visual Manufacturing, etc.)
• Dependable, reliable, with proven attendance record
