Role and Responsibility

Field and Shop Mechanics are responsible to operate and maintain a field service truck to handle day-to-day field and shop maintenance services, and overhaul of natural gas engines and coompressors within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on the screw compressor market.

• Provide mechanic services in both field and shop areas with a focus on screw compression
• Perform the repair and overhaul of natural gas engines, compressors, components, and other equipment serviced by Pamco-Jiro
• Work independently and take leadership role in repair shop and service work, oversee all shop work performed
• Comply with all company Quality, and Health and Safety work procedures
• Maintain and develop positive professional relationships with existing and potential customers
• Participate with after hour calls

Candidate Profile - Journeyman

• Must have a valid Journeyman Mechanic or Millwright certificate
• Proven ability to lead, direct, motivate and supervise team members
• Possess well rounded knowledge of engine and compressor performance and operations, screw compressor experience preferred
• Min. 5 years field service work experience
• Experience with Waukesha, Cat and Ariel, Mycom and Frick compressors considered an asset
• Highly motivated and well organized
• Ability to work collaboratively with all departments
• Flexible with time scheduling to meet customer needs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Dependable and reliable
• Good driving record
