Role and Responsibilities

Job Purpose:  Handle day-to-day shop maintenance services, plus overhaul of natural gas engines and compressors.

•Complete all aspects of work including gas engine/compressor overhaul and problem diagnosis with guidance from co-workers, Service Coordinators or Service Managers.  Perform repairs on all types of industrial equipment as required.
•Ensure all necessary Mechanical Service reports and time sheets are completed in compliance with Mechanical Service quality program and detailed procedures.
•Comply with all company Quality, and Health and Safety work procedures.  Take an active role in ensuring work place safety and maintain superior standard for quality of workmanship.
•Communicate job related problems and customer concerns to supervisor in a timely manner.
•Maintain and develop positive professional relationships with existing and potential customers.
•Provide appropriate direction and training to assigned subordinates.
•Control operating and maintenance costs for the shop.
•Assist in the operations of the branch, including dive future growth and development.

Candidate Profile

•Must hold a valid Journeyman Heavy Duty or Auto Mechanic Certificate with a min. of 3 years experience within the industry.
•Good driving record and clean drivers abstract.
•Self motivated and well organized, able to work independently with minimum supervision.
•Ability to lead, direct, motivate, and supervise junior mechanics.
•Good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to relate well with customers and co-workers
•Able to work collaboratively with all departments within the branch
•Flexible with time scheduling to meet customer needs
•Successful completion of a pre-employment medical is required for this job position. At minimum, bona fide occupational requirements for the job position must be met.
