GAS COMPRESSION FUNDAMENTALS – 400
One-day course designed to introduce participants to the intricacies of compressor packages. Technical overview of various compression aspects such as: Engine driver differences (turbo charged, lean burn, and normally aspirated) and the advantages of each. Engine selection concerns, Reciprocating and Screw compressor differences, sizing graphs, performance curve reading, the importance of vibration analysis, control systems, and common operational problems. The course will give the participant a general overview of the technical aspects of Gas Compression.

Two-day course designed to review Field Gas Compression operation. Technical overview of Compression Package operational safety, compression process design, and theory topics. Course content includes gas compression theory, Reciprocating and Screw Compressor theory, package operation and maintenance practices, and Engine systems including cooling, fuel, and lubrication systems. Practical application review of course content is also used to reinforce theoretical concepts covered.
