Our Core Technology – Microbubble Flotation (MBF®)

Microbubble FlotationMBF®, introduces trillions of microscopic bubbles as small as 5 microns in size to untreated water. Utilizing MBF® oil separation is maximized even in the most challenging of waters. Unlike Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) systems that rely on solubility or typical Induced Gas Flotation (IGF) technologies that use large bubbles, MBF® is the more effective solution.

In our flotation packages, microbubbles are generated either through a patented Gas Liquid Reactor (GLR®) or ONYX® Pump. Both methods produce a unique microbubble size distribution that results in significant performance advantages.

Gas Liquid Reactor

Gas Liquid Reactor® (GLR)

The GLR® delivers exceptional microbubble generation while reducing overall costs by using patented fluid dynamic processes. With no internal moving parts, the GLR is remarkably simple to maintain and operate -a single vessel can process flows up to 350,000 BWPD.

ONYX® Pump

Enerflex Onyx Pump Small and lightweight, our ONYX® Pumps are an unrivalled powerhouse in microbubble generation - a single pump can process flows up to 75,000 BWPD. Utilizing a multi-stage centrifugal design, they are engineered and built around API 610 standards to consistently deliver results, even in the harshest production environments, making our reliable pump ideally suited for critical operations and remote locations.
