600 MMSCFD Primary Gas Treatment Facility with FEED Study
Enerflex was contracted to complete the FEED study, and subsequently awarded the complete manufacturing — with onsite test fit — for a modular gas treatment facility in a remote and challenging jungle environment. A cross-functional team of specialized engineers created a unique 600 MMSCFD turbo-expander based dew point control system, with 40,000 BPD multi-stage flash separation and TEG dehydration, producing 29,000 HP of compression and 48 MW of power generation.
The Enerflex solution leveraged high well-head pressure using high-efficiency turbo-expanders, reducing capex and opex, with integrated waste-heat recovery to maximize efficiency.
Enerflex developed all engineering and integration of the modular process equipment, including simulations, P&ID’s, and 3D modeling, as well as coordinating joint design workshops including HAZOP, SIL, and model reviews.
Outcome
Enerflex executed the project in record time, maintaining the highest international standards of quality and safety. A modular approach allowed the engineering team to maintain control of the design and manufacturing in the workshop day-by-day, rather than run the risks associated with assembly in the field. Informed by regular contact with commissioning teams and operations groups, specialized engineers have a holistic view of the real-world needs of natural gas processing, whilst streamlining the process through a modular approach.
The result is a 100% gas recovery solution with no flaring, featuring gas and liquid stream dehydration. Product storage and export capabilities are optimized.
