Case Study
High-Capacity Oil and Water Treatment Plant with GFT® Technology

Challenge
Following the discovery of a reservoir with five times the expected production potential, our client needed a third facility to manage an additional 30,000 BPD of oil and 330,000 BPD of produced water. The plant had to meet <50 ppm oil-in-water (OIW) requirements.
Solution
We deployed a simplified, high-efficiency plant design featuring a three-phase separator and a two-stage desalter system. Produced water was treated using our Gas Flotation Tank (GFT®), combining API tank design and microbubble flotation (MBF®) technology to achieve separation down to <50 ppm OIW.
Outcome
From an inlet of 10% OIW, the facility delivers treated water at an average of 29 ppm, even under challenging emulsified oil conditions. The GFT enabled more than a 70% reduction in chemical use compared to traditional systems. We delivered a 21-month DBOOM execution, with over 3.9 million LTI-free manhours.
Case Study
170,000 BPD Centralized Oil, Water, and Gas Processing Facility

Challenge
A client in Oman needed a centralized processing facility to manage 170,000 BPD of gross inlet fluids across multiple fields. The project required integrated oil, water, and gas treatment systems, zero routine flaring, and sustainable water reuse. It was awarded as a full-scope DBOOM contract.
Solution
We engineered and delivered a fit-for-purpose facility leveraging our patented Enhanced Gas Flotation Tank (EGFT®), which simplified treatment by replacing multiple traditional units, reducing equipment count and minimizing emissions.
Outcome
The facility achieves an OIW outlet of 26 ppm from an inlet of 20% OIW. This solution reduced the water treatment footprint by over 70% and cut CO₂e emissions during construction by 40%. The project was completed in just 17.5 months with 1.9 million LTI-free hours, setting new standards for sustainable practices in the oil and gas industry.
